Training … bit of a problem.

When you buy PlanetPress Objectif Lune give you several excellent ways to learn how to use it. You can go on one of the introductory training courses; logon to their (free to Licencees) web based systems (OL Learn); and have individual tuition with a trainer or consultant at your workplace. So why would you want to have training from someone else?

Sometimes You Need Training for One Person

Most of the classroom training on offer means that all your people need to go on the course. In a busy department it’s often difficult to have all your staff off-site at one time. They often can’t concentrate on the course because they need to keep in touch with the home base as problems arise. If the course is at your offices you can virtually guarantee that someone during the day will miss parts of it to go away to do something urgent. This is just part of life.

You can book for one on our courses so your staff can concentrate on learning knowing that the office is OK.

Sometimes You Need Training for Part of the System

It’s often the case that you’re OK for (say) form design, but you know nothing about workflow.

Our courses are modular, so you can take the bits you want and leave the bits you already know how to do. This means you can do them when you need them.

Sometimes People Leave or Join

New starters are a bit of a problem – you need to get them productive as soon as possible but your other IT people don’t have time to teach them. Sometimes all your trained staff have left and you need to get your new person up-to-speed. You don’t want to book a course for five people and web training will take too long. If it’s really urgent I’ll come to your place and get them going. If less so just book them on one of the monthly courses.

Web Based Training – Brilliant Idea!

But it never gets done.

How many times have you ever completed a course of Web Based training. You start off with the best of intentions, logon to the system, start the first few modules, but then stuff happens and you never really finish the course. This is pretty understandable really. You just don’t have the time or energy to do your job properly and learn new stuff.

I’ve found that the most effective type of training is face to face, short period, intensive training. Where you ask about something you don’t understand and immediately get an answer. Where you can talk around what you actually do rather than what a fictional american company does. Where they use Post rather than Zip Codes.

So What Can You Offer?

We have our own training courses based in Milton Keynes. We can also train your staff at your offices.

In the last couple of years I’ve been arranging these on an ad-hoc basis as customers need them. You can book for one day or both. The first day will cover Form Design for Beginners while day two will be Workflow Design for Beginners.

With COVID happening I offer personalised on-line courses using Teams or Zoom.

The cost for each day will be £250.00 per person. If you book one person for both days you will get a £50.00 discount.
