VDP-IT are a small, specialist PlanetPress consultancy company based in Milton Keynes.<\/p>\n

What We Do with PlanetPress and Connect<\/h2>\n

I specialise in the PlanetPress suite of products by Objectif Lune.<\/p>\n

I have some 22 years experience in the VDP market, and over 35 years as a programmer.<\/p>\n

In addition to consulting I undertake plugin development; workflow optimisation; end-user training (either on-line; at the customers site; or in classroom sessions at Milton Keynes); and comprehensive documentation of\u00a0 your workflows for Maintenance, Disaster Recovery, and Audit.<\/p>\n

PlanetPress Design<\/h2>\n

Design of efficient print and ePrint workflows is based on careful analysis of what you actually do on a day by day basis. VDP-IT have years of workflow design experience and we can help you get it right first time, every time. If you need a development resource our in-house and contract programmers and consultants can either complement your IT specialists or carry-out a complete development project for you.<\/p>\n

PlanetPress Training<\/h2>\n

I have training courses that can be delivered either at your own facilities or at our Milton Keynes base. Many customers prefer classroom, rather than a web-based, training and I can offer personalised courses based on your actual workflow and variable document needs. If you prefer I can arrange remote training sessions – either one-off or on a regular basis – which eliminates the need for your IT staff to travel.<\/p>\n

PlanetPress Documentation<\/h2>\n

PlanetPress is used for many business-critical IT processes and documentation of those processes is increasingly important for both maintenance and Audit purposes. I have devloped tools to help us create the MOST COMPREHENSIVE documentation of PP Watch, PP Production, and PP Connect that exist today.<\/p>\n

PlanetPress Coversions and Upgrades<\/h2>\n

With the advent of the latest version – called Connect – and the recent announcement that Production and V7 will be classed as ‘Maintenance Mode’ products prior to eventual end-of-life, there has been a lot of interest in conversions of workflows and documents from V7 to Connect.
